It’s All In the Face

When it comes to plastic or cosmetic surgery the two most often thought of places are the face and the fat. While liposuction and the such is for ridding people of the imperfections hidden by clothing, cosmetic surgery for the face is about what everyone can see. We all have to accept that our society is becoming more and more concerned with the outward appearance. It is highly encouraged, for women especially, to keep their youth for as long as possible. As the face is the first and most often seen part of the body, a great deal of people start there before anywhere else. There are numerous procedures that doctors can utilize now. Not all of them are to make the patient younger. Some of them are to enhance a part of the face that they are unhappy with.
These procedures include a brow lift, eye bag removal, neck lift, face lift, ear recontouring, chin implants and a nose job. No, these are not necessarily the medical terms for these procedures. Those that are unhappy with sagging eyebrows or saggy bags under their eyes can remedy this with a brow lift or eye bag removal. If their nose is problem of contention then Rhinoplasty(nose job) is in order. If there are just too many wrinkles on the face or the sagging jowls are too much to bear then a face life (Rhytidectomy) or a neck lift (Platysmaplasty) are what is in store. If the chin is too small or the ears stick out too far then it’s time for ear recontouring(Octoplasty) or chin implants are perfect.
A patient can pick and choose which procedures they want performed or they can get it all done at once. How many procedures can be performed at one time can depend on several factors. The most common is money and the amount one can spend. Other issues may involve the doctor’s policy on the number of procedures performed or the patient’s overall health..
